It is my joy to share the vision that guides our life together as a congregation. At Austin Springs, we seek to cultivate a vibrant spiritual community where believers are grounded in Jesus Christ, equipped for faithful discipleship, and sent into the world to share the transforming power of the Gospel. We exist to glorify God by reaching the lost, nurturing spiritual maturity, and showing the love of God through worship, teaching, fellowship, and service. Our desire is to form disciples whose lives reflect holiness of heart and life, shaped by Scripture and lived out in faithful obedience within our community and beyond. We are first and foremost Christians, joyfully confessing the historic faith of the Church as it has been received and handed down through the centuries. We are a credal church, affirming the Apostles’ Creed and the Nicene Creed as faithful summaries of biblical truth and guides for Christian belief. We are Methodist and Wesleyan, shaped by a theology of grace that proclaims God’s prevenient, justifying, and sanctifying work and calls believers to grow in love of God and neighbor. We are also a Spirit-filled church, dependent upon the Holy Spirit to convict, renew, empower, and lead us in faithfulness. Holding together doctrine and devotion, personal faith and social holiness, we live and proclaim the Gospel in the Wesleyan way for the glory of God and the making of disciples of Jesus Christ. Whether you are seeking a church home, returning to faith, or exploring Christianity for the first time, I invite you to join us in worship and in the shared life of this congregation.
